Farley's Wit - Number 4: Reasonable Doubt for Prosecutors and DUI Representation

Hello. I'm G. Gordon Farley, the first name in Farley Swit.

Prosecutors carry a heavy burden in those relatively few instances when plea agreements are not reached.

The standard in criminal cases is 'beyond reasonable doubt.'

What that means, theoretically, is that the defense need only establish 'doubt' in order to successfully defend an accusation. Prosecutors must construe the evidence to overcome the doubt.

Fortunately, the state is able to test prosecutor applicants for 'beyond reasonableness' skills before hiring them.

And, now a word from a sponsor.
